My Story

Judging by their body shape and looks we think these pups perhaps have some retriever or collie in them.. Their mom is a small to medium sized smooth haired mix with some pit bull heritage. Her temperament is excellent and she is a very sweet and loving dog. The pups have had their first vaccinations, so will need two more lots over the next 8 weeks. They are only about 12 weeks old so obviously haven't yet been neutered, but the cost of this will be covered by the NYS Ag and Markets scheme when they reach the appropriate age. All puppies need considerable time spent on training and appropriate exercise to ensure they mature into well behaved members of society. The summer months are an ideal time to take on the challenge of a young puppy, when generally you have more time to devote to shaping habits and behavior. When fall and winter arrive he will still be just a youngster with exactly the same requirements - will your lifestyle and schedule still accommodate the demands of a puppy ? If the answer is yes and you are convinced you are up to the challenges of raising a puppy to well trained adulthood why not fill out an application ? Puppies are always popular so we anticipate a large response to these boys ! If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an adoption application. This avoids the disappointment of someone else has "beating you to it" because they were pre-approved. Processing an application does not take us very long but we do insist that all potential adopters are approved before placing a dog. Applying is very simple. Just log on to our website at Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue and select Adopt a Dog from the menu on the left side of the homepage. Just above the photo gallery you will see Adoption Application giving you a choice of 2 formats. Select one of these and complete the information requested, then save it as a file and e mail it to us. If you do not get a response within 24 hours of sending your application, please call us at 716/326-PAWS. And be sure to check out all the dogs and puppies eagerly awaiting homes.
