Brody

Everday we receive cries for help. It can be very overwhelming as you read the pleas and see the saddness in the animal's eyes. As much as we would love to help all the animals, our ability to help is limited due to money, volunteers, and the availablity of homes wanting a pet.

I received an email from a long time friend who asked me to wave my magic wand and help a special boxer mix who arrived at the pound. I took one look at this boy's eyes and decided we need to help this boy and give a lift to a very caring worker who sees so much saddness everyday.

We went to Animal Control to evaluate this special dog and they too fell under the spell of this kind dog that has suffered much abuse. Brody has a broken shoulder, is very hand shy, and shows signs of a sad life before he was surrendered to Animal Control. All Brody wanted was a kiss, soft lap, and love. What a wonderful soul.

7/12/10: Brody had surgery today. Sadly, we could not save this shattered leg and it was removed. No worries, Brody will now be pain free and will soon be ready to start his new life. Do you have a special place in your heart for this three legged boxer loverboy?

7/26/10: Brody is back at his foster home. He is so happy to be back, out of pain from his old break, and is enjoying his new life. Brody is housetrained, cratetrained, and a very social boy. It is now time to find this boy his forever home.
