My Story

He is a purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi. His former owners were an elderly couple who began to have health issues and had to surrender him. ~~ He's fun! Active, confident, playful. Is a bit chubby and on a diet, but otherwise completely healthy physically. Fine with our other dogs in his foster home home (weights 14 lbs to 100 lbs.) Loves human companionship. Never met a stranger, wiggled right up to me to be petted the first time I met him. Not really fond of being picked up, will protest that, but he's too heavy to lift easily right now anyhow! And he jumps up in and out of the car just fine. House trained, walks well on a leash, likes to go for walks. ~~ He did great with the children in the home that had him the past few weeks (girls ages 7 & 11 or so.) Fine with our cat. Will snark at the other dogs here if food is involved, as a typical Corgi! But nothing outside the range of what's expected for a Corgi. A tad bit of a spoiled brat, but in a good hearted, fun loving kinda way. ~~ TO LEARN ABOUT THIS BREED, please go to www.pwcca.org ~~ ~~ Note: We do require a securely fenced yard for all dog adoptions.
