My Story
Meet Branch!!
My rescue journey started all alone when I was found in the dark underneath a house. Although I know I’m safe now, at some point my story was a bit painful. The scar on my head will be a reminder that I have been through some ruff stuff (pun intended).
More about me …
* I’m a moose!! I’m going to be a big guy. My paws are huge!
* Age – estimated birthday is March 25th, 2024
* Weight – estimated at 25-30lb as of July 22nd, 2024
* Likely due to my scary beginning I am more on the reserved side. A bit of a shy guy.
* Warm up slow with a little time and patience
* Noises tend to a bit scary, but I need a human who will continue to expose me to the world so I can continue to get brave and enjoy all that life has to offer.
* I DEFINITELY would do best with another dog in the home who I can lean on for confidence
* Love to play with my canine friends
* Dog Friendly. Fostered with other dogs
* Cats are unknown and per our adoption policy if not fostered with cats will not adopt to a home with cats for everyone’s safety
* Learning commands like sit & wait & down and am doing rather well for my age
* Love squeaky toys & nylabones
* Will cuddle like you’re a drive thru … quick, short, and sweet.
* So not interested in fetch … why would any consider that fun?
* Still working on crate training overnight and some days while my foster mom is at work (6-8 hrs) – only #1 accidents – never #2
* Very treat motivated
* Although new places can be a little bit of an adjustment for me, with the noises and all, I would love to find paw-rents who are down to help me face my fears. I know the world is full of exciting things, I just need some help learning that. Got another dog – even better. I would LOVE a buddy!
