Introducing Boss, the epitome of a couch potato extraordinaire! This five-year-old male Great Dane is the ultimate cuddle buddy, preferring to spend his days lounging on the couch rather than chasing toys or causing mischief. He's a master of relaxation, and if you're lucky, he'll even grace you with his presence by cuddling *on* you. While he may not be the most active pup, he does enjoy leisurely walks, although car rides are not his cup of tea just yet. The act of jumping into the vehicle is seemingly terrifying to him, though once he’s inside and moving, he’s fine. Boss is a social butterfly when it comes to meeting new people and other dogs. His friendly nature is even more remarkable considering his past: Boss came to rescue after being surrendered from a life lived on a tether outside with other dogs, big and small. Living outside for so long explains why he tested positive for heartworm, but he's now undergoing treatment with the slow kill method using doxycycline and ProHeart 12. Due to previous neglect, Boss’ teeth are in bad condition. He had a dental and it was noted that much of the enamel on his teeth is gone causing his teeth to be sensitive In fact his teeth are in such bad condition the vet initially thought he might be much older than originally anticipated. Luckily wetting down his dry kibble had helped tremendously and he is back to his healthy appetite. Boss is potty trained. at his foster dad‘s house. He has access to a doggie door, though he generally does not like being outside. He goes out to potty and then his back in and on the couch. He’s not one to party when his foster dad is not home. he can be trusted to be left alone . Typical Velcro Dane, when his dad gets back from work after a long day, boss will follow him around until he has gotten the appropriate amount of attention and affection, and then will go back to the couch. Neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped, Boss is ready to find his forever home where he can continue his reign as the ultimate couch potato. He is hoping to find a loving family who will cherish him as much as he cherishes his couch time.
