My Story

Bosley is approx. 1 - 1 1/2 years old. He is a very sweet and patient boy. Wants to be with people and gets along well with the dogs we have put him with so far. Bosley was picked up off the streets. He was a bit skinny and sick, however, he was still able to chase and play with the boys (7 - 9 years old) riding their bikes up and down the street. Bosley was having the time of his life. A very happy boy who would be perfect for a family with children. Bosley is about 30 pounds and we do not believe that he will get any bigger.

Bosley went with the shelter volunteers to the Annual Halloween event on October 7, 2006. He did so well in the crowd and enjoyed getting attention from everyone. Bosley also got along great with the other dogs at the event.

He is still waiting for his forever home and is in an Arkansas Shelter. Sometimes great dogs like this are overlooked if they are in a "low or no kill" shelter, as they don't seem to have the urgency as some of their other canine friends. However, this shelter is over crowded and not accepting any more dogs. Adopting Bosley would make room for another dog that would otherwise be sent to the much larger high kill county shelter. Wont you consider Bosley to be a part of your New England family?

****THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR AN OVER CROWDED SHELTER IN ARKANSAS!! All dogs will be tested for Heartworm prior to adoption. Almost Home Rescue will process your adoption. Applications can be found at www.almosthomerescue.net and can be e-mailed to Lonepine_AHR@yahoo for this particular dog.

These animals are in dire need of homes. If you cannot provide a home, sponsors are welcome and needed for heartworm treatment and/or other medical expenses for dogs coming to New England. Foster families are also needed from time to time. Fostering a healthy dog or one that is in treatment will also save lives!

We pay a Transportation Service from Arkansas to bring the dogs to New England. The adoption fee is $250.00 for altered dogs. $350. for unaltered puppies, with $100 refundable after spay/neuter. All Senior dogs 6 years or older have a reduced adoption fee of $200. (includes vaccinations, spay/neuter and transport from AR) For more information, please visit our webpage at www.almosthomerescue.net
