He has since been treated for his skin, has gained some weight, gained confidence, and has learned house manners. He looks great and feels great and is ready for adoption!! Boomer (or Boomerang) is about 1 yr old, a nice medium size (40lbs) and a sweet, gentle soul. We don't know his mix, he looks to be a lab/golden mix or lab/collie. Initially we were told he might be a husky mix, but he doesn't look or act like a husky mix in any way, we tend to think he is part golden instead due to his coat and personality.
Update from his foster Mom:
"I can't say enough about how great this little guy is. He's going to make someone a great dog. Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of his rescue :)
Boomerang has the gentlest temperament I have ever met in a dog, he is housetrained, happy to sleep in a crate or on your feet in your bed, wherever I go he follows and lays at my feet. He is friendly with all dogs he’s met, male and female, big and small, he is indifferent to cats. He loves to be brushed and willingly hops in the tub for a bath. He is medium to low energy level, and is just happy to lie in the same room as you all day. He understands the word no and listens appropriately. He has excellent leash manners, loves to ride in the car, and comes when called. He would do fine as an only dog, or with a canine or feline companion. He has learned to give and receive affection from his caregivers, though he is still initially timid with strangers (and most likely always will be, he’s gained lots of confidence and does now approach people, but with caution). He still has a bit of a sensitive stomach and has been taking pepcid to help settle his stomach and keep weight on him, we are also currently healing his digestive tract with a couple of herbs. He is good with dog savvy/quiet children, but I wouldn’t recommend he live with small, fast moving kids, the noise and movement make him nervous. He is still a puppy and needs to learn to chew the 'appropriate' items like his own toys, he will still chew shoes if they are left out. He is a very special dog and someone is going to very happy to have him.
