Boomer

BOOMER IS BEING FOSTERED NEAR IL/WI BORDER. Boomer is a 20 month old male purebred ES from who was relinquished to rescue after serious illness prevented his elderly owners from being able to care for him. He is a happy dog with a very friendly disposition toward everyone he meets. He has had virtually no training but is learning quickly in his foster home. He was kept as a strictly outside dog so is not housebroken but his foster mom states that he never soils his pen, waiting instead for his daily walks, so he should pick up on the concept quickly. He has learned sit and now walks on a leash fairly well. He gets along with the foster homes other dogs (males and females) and is not one to pick a fight. He will chase a cat that runs from him but gently interact with ones that don't. He has shown some herding ability in rounding up ducks and is not aggressive to the foster homes resident goats. He likes to be with people and responds readily to the come command so he has been able to enjoy long off leash walks. He'd make a great hiking buddy. His two bad habits are jumping up and mouthing which with work are both getting better. He's like a big puppy - always smiling! He has been vetted and is up to date on vaccinations, is heartworm negative and worm free. He will be nuetered before being placed.
