My Story

Boomer (01-194) is a tri-colored male who is approximately 4 years old. He was originally found as a stray 2 years ago. This boy is a gorgeous hound who was recently returned by his adoptive family because they are moving into an apartment that does not allow pets over 25 lbs. He was overweight at 70 lbs. since the only exercise he received was going outside to use the bathroom, but he's now slimming down. He is a good dog and is very friendly. Boomer thinks he is a lap dog! Although he is protective of food and toys, his last family assured us that this behavior ended once he got settled in. But because of this, he may not be the right dog for a family with small kids. He gets along with other dogs but doesn't like to share his toys. Boomer prefers sleeping on his bed at night rather than in his crate. He is completely housebroken even without a dog door. He'll make a great hound for someone with lots of time to spend playing with and loving him. And Boomer will love you back as long as you let him! He loves to be near people and to be petted.
