Boogie

Hi, my name is Boogie....I have great news to tell everyone....I've been rescued and now I have a second chance to live again!!....My foster dad's name is Chris and he's great!!....It sure was a close call though....I was just a day away from leaving in a body bag instead of the arms of a caring person....I was so scared when I realized the shelter was full....I overheard Miss Arnette and Miss Jody crying about how they had a shelter full of wonderful pets, there were only 3 empty kennels left at Levy County Animal Services, it was Monday morning, and the last empty kennels would be filled by Tuesday.....they kept asking for something called a "miracle".....they said what a good boy I was and how they just couldn't say "good bye" to me.....the next thing I knew, Miss Jody came in to my kennel, wrapped her arms around my neck, gave me a big hug, and said, "come on little man, let's get out of here!".....she didn't have a foster home for me, but she took a chance that one of the other pets would get adopted soon and I could go to that home......she took me to Shores Animal Hospital for my vaccines, microchip, and to be neutered.....Dr. Shores said I was a good boy too!....I'm about 1-1 1/2 years old, I weigh about 50lbs., I'm a sweet lab mix, and I'm heartworm negative!....When I saw Miss Jody again, she had great news.....she had a foster home for me to go to!!.....Chris' foster dog, Beamer, was adopted which opened a spot for me!....So, that's how Chris became my foster dad....I love other dogs, kids, and adults....I'm hoping to be adopted real soon.....there are a lot of other wonderful pets at the shelter facing death in the next couple of days....their lives depend on available foster or adoptive homes.....so, if you could find room in your heart and home for me, please call Miss Jody @ (352)316-5155.....as soon as I'm adopted, my foster dad can go to the shelter and save another scared, homeless dog like me!!.....Thanks for reading my story.....Boogie
