My Story

Bones is approx. 6 - 7 years old in July 26, 2008. He is one of the shelter volunteers' favorite dogs because he is just so happy and smiles all the time. You just can't help from smiling when you see him. He's large, but very friendly and gentle. Bones does well on a leash too. He really enjoys getting attention and being walked. Loves to run around the yard too and will go up and great anyone and everyone.

The person who adopts Bones MUST have a 6' high fenced in yard. Bones suffered an injury that almost cost him his leg. He was hit by a car in 2003 and was taken to the vet. The vet thought that he was such a great dog that he let us make payments for Bones' surgery instead of having us put him to sleep. It was a long hard road for Bones and the Director, but now Bones is doing great and has very little trouble with the leg. Because of this injury, he needs to be able to run around and not be tied up or kept inside. He is on medication for his arthritis in that leg.
