Meet Bolt! He’s a dainty young ball of floof at 1 year and 45 lb. Bolt is a stunning charmer with freckled ears, one blue eye, one brown eye, and a perpetually joyful smile! Bolt is a perfect mix of calm and exuberance. He is easy-going and affectionate. He adjusts quickly to new environments and people. He is quiet, gentle, and peaceful. When it’s playtime, he loves playing with doggie friends of all ages and sizes, as well as his humans. Prior to being rescued by Underdog Animal Rescue, Bolt was the temperament tester at the shelter because he was so calm and gentle with all dogs, and modulated his play style to accommodate other dogs’ behavior and comfort level. Bolt’s foster mom reports he is a joy to watch as he plays with toys and his foster brother. He makes his foster parents laugh all day long! Bolt adores fetch, balls, chew toys, and anything else that can be a source of entertainment. Although he likes to have fun, he calms quickly and easily, and naps often. When it’s not playtime, he has a reliable, mellow temperament. He is a perfect gentleman who never barks or jumps on furniture, and who gives other dogs their space if they want it. Bolt is also happy to share his treats and toys with other dogs. Bolt has slept peacefully through the night in his crate at his foster home. He has not had any accidents or destructive behaviors. He quickly learned the potty routine in his foster home, but any adopter should expect some training or reinforcement to get him acclimated to the potty routine in a new home. Due to his gentle, sweet, easy-going nature, Bolt would be an excellent addition to a home with children, cats, elderly folks, and/or other dogs. He’d fit great into any family configuration as long as he is given the love and time he deserves as a young dog in a new home! Bolt has absolutely loved having a safe home for the first time in his life while in Underdog Animal Rescue’s care. Bolt came to Underdog Animal Rescue from the Fresno Animal Center, where he had spent 7 months! Prior to that, Bolt was a companion to an unhoused person, who surrendered him to the shelter due to severe personal and financial hardship such that they could no longer care for Bolt. After living on the street and in a cage his entire life, Bolt has absolutely thrived in a stable foster home, where he is surrounded by love. Now he just needs to find his forever home! If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information. In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Additional vet care is provided as needed based on their requirements.   The adoption fee for this dog is $125 serving as a non-refundable donation.
