Look at those ears! This poor guy appears to have had a very rough life up to this point. He is about 1 ½ years old and was picked up in Missouri by a good samaritan so he would not become road kill, and brought back to Minnesota. He then ended up at Animal Control, where we rescued him when he was about to be euthanized. He has a gorgeous face, huge ears and sad eyes. He does have some scars on his back. He appears to be a purebred Redbone Coonhound and weighs about 65#. He has come a long way since we’ve had him, he obviously wants to thrive and has a terrific spirit about him. How can you not want to give this boy the greatest home ever? He was adopted out once for a week, but their dog did not like Bogart and was trying to hurt him, so they returned him. Just another circumstance for Bogart to take in stride........
He appears to house trained and he is crate trained. He is currently being boarded at Camp Comfort Kennel and is doing very well and having fun. He likes being inside over being outside and he loves his raised platform bed where he'll chew on his favorite bone.
He is good with other dogs, cats, and children. He loves to run and play with other dogs, but he can play rough, so he needs a playmate to match. He loves attention and wants to hug and give kisses. Walks are very fun for him as he follows his nose everywhere! Being a hound, a fenced in yard is a requirement so he can sniff to his heart's content.
Bogart deserves a good life. Who wants to give this special guy that good life?
