3/2/20006 UPDATE: Bodo is now spending his days at doggy day care until his new family comes along and he is lovin' it! He's already found a best friend (a boxer) that he loves to follow and pal around with. Bodo is doing well with small and large dog, both male and female. He has really come out of his shell since being in day care. He's no longer that sad, lost pup he was when we first got him. Don't get me wrong, Bodo is still looking for HIS new family and a place to call home! But he has definitely come "alive".
Bodo weighs 66lbs, now neutered and ready to go! Our volunteer described Bodo as a big fella, but gentle and laid back. Bodo is also described as being a very good watch dog and protective. When he hears a noise or people enter, he barks until he realizes he knows you. Bodo is just looking for attention and love.
Please meet Bodo. He was given up by his owner because he no longer had time for him, how sad. Bodo is a 6 yr old, liver male. He will be going to the vet this week for his neuter and getting up to date on his vaccinations. He is heartworm negative.
Bodo was kept as an outside dog all his life. NOW it's time he becomes an indoor dog being part of a loving family. He is a very sweet dog, but right now he is so scared because his whole life has been turned upside down.
Our volunteer met Bodo over the weekend and she said he is clearly very sad :(. Bodo was given to a shelter by his owner and the shelter staff just had all kind words to say about this fella.
The owner told the shelter he rides well in the car, he's fine with other dogs. Never been around children or cats.
More information to come as we get to know Bodo better. He is now in our rescue program. If you are interested in giving this sweetie a home, please email us for an adoption application.
