Bodie

Bodie is a Golden mix. We believe he’s mixed with Samoyed, but since he was a stray, we don’t know for sure. His age is estimated to be between 2 and 3 years old and his weight seems to hover between 45 and 50 lbs. He is such a sweetheart! When he looks at you with those big, golden eyes, your heart just melts. This young dog needs plenty of attention and activity, and he’s gentle enough to live with young children. He likes to play fetch and he would love to play with his foster brother, but his foster brother doesn’t play with other dogs. Although Bodie came into the rescue with heartworm, he has come through the treatments. Otherwise, he’s been a very healthy young boy. While in rescue, Bodie was also neutered. He came through the surgery with flying colors and healed quickly with no complications. Bodie’s dream family would provide companionship for the better part of the day, toys to play with, plenty of walks, a well-fenced yard, and maybe another dog or cat to play with. I would strongly suggest obedience training to help with his repeated attempts to wander freely around his neighborhood. Although he’s been much easier to contain since we started training him, his new family should be trained if they are not familiar with training a dog. Bodie's adoption fee is $250.
