As some of you may know, we have a couple of homes that are not in a position to foster bullies, but love us folks so much they want to still help us and foster any hardship cases that need our help.
Bob falls under this category. He has hair loss where a choke chain used to live, sores on his feet, ear infections in both ears... He is a big big lug, loves other dogs, ok with cats (will chase a little), super happy on walks... But the poor dog has been seriously neglected to the point of obesity. He was slated for euthenasia, but I thought... I may know of a foster home that could take him and she responded with "I love seniors. I love labs."
So off we went to assess Bob, and yeah, I was not ready to see him - I was shocked at how lovely and mobile he was for his size... He weighs in at a 118lbs.
Surprisingly, this dogs likes to go out for walks, and is game to play too... Bob loves aking snow angels and flipping around in the snow. He gets up really well, his joints and muscles are working, and he's in good health from his vet visit. When he is excited, he dances, and bounces back and forth, side to side.
While he was initially thought to be a senior, he is likely 5-6 years old.
