My Story

Meet Blossom, our 5-month-old, 18 lbs, mixed breed pup. Blossom came to us with her siblings after being left in a storage tote outside of a local Walmart. She was just two pounds, severely dehydrated, and had the facial features common with the condition called hydrocephalus (water on the brain). This beautiful and amazingly loving puppy did not let these barriers slow her down and Blossom has grown into a healthy, active, well-rounded dog. She is extremely intelligent and social with a bit of sass. She is in a foster home with elementary school aged children and several dogs of varying sizes. She is both a dog's dog and a people's dog. She loves to snuggle and is both a couch potato and thrill seeker. Blossom was diagnosed with hydrocephalus after intake. She has never had a symptom of this condition and takes no medicine other than her monthly heart worm and flea prevention. Yes, there is a chance she may present with symptoms later in her life, but this wonderful girl deserves a loving family. Fenced yard required for off leash playtime. Adoption Fee $500. Visit ruffredemption.org to complete an application. All Ruff Redemption Dogs are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They also receive a minimum of two distemper/parvo vaccines, medication for the treatment and prevention of intestinal worms, and monthly heart worm/flea prevention while in our care. Rabies vaccines are given if the dog is 16 weeks of age or older.
