My Story

!!! AVAILABLE for Adoption at ACCT Philly !!! BLOO - A#39131485Bloo's Instagram: @bloos__cloosDog meets:Shey, Bloo, George and Logan: https://youtu.be/tn17LIck-w8Bloo, George and Logan: https://youtu.be/b-E1ogf3zQIBloo and Logan: https://youtu.be/7cbFeP6IwNMPersonality: Hi, I'm Bloo! I'm an 8 year old pittie mix with a bottomless supply of kisses and cuddles to share with anyone willing to love me back. I am a very good girl with a LOT of energy. I love to run and play, but I also love to curl up next to my human for naps. My foster mom says I have the cutest snores ever. My favorite activities are playing tug with rope toys (not to brag, but I'm a tug champion), running, looking at my beautiful reflection, and napping. Not to brag, but I know sit, wait, down, paw, and off, and I'm crate trained. A lot of thing outside make me anxious (other dogs, bicycles, kids, kids on bicycles.... the world is a scary place!) so my leash manners aren't the best yet. I'm currently in finishing school with my foster mom and her vet school friends though, and we are working on leash training and recall so that I can be a proper lady in my fur-ever home! I am also being muzzle trained so that I can have fear free vet visits. I REALLY want to be the goodest girl, I just need someone to teach me how. In my new foster home, I'm picking up these new skills so fast - I bet I'll be the BEST dog ever in no time! I have lived with a cat before, but otherwise I would like to be the only animal in the house. I am also not great with kids, but older teenagers are OK. Intake Reason: Return Adoption - "Too Much Responsibility" 2/10Return Adoption 1/5/20 Owner surrender 7/27/18Weight: 64 poundsMedical Observations: (4/16) Per Vet Check- Patient is BAR with no URI signs at time of examBehavioral Observations:(3/26/20) Dog-on-dog Incident: Bloo was unleashed in a large, fenced yard. Another dog entered the yard on leash. Bloo did not immediately notice the other dog. When she did, she ran towards the dog and proceeded to attack the dog unprovoked. The other dog's owner attempted to intercept Bloo by stepping between her and the other dog, but she circled around and clamped on the dog's tricep, biting it to the bone. The dogs were quickly separated and the other dog was taken to emergency care. Bloo did not harm any humans while being separated. (3/1/20) Male Volunteer- She was easily leashed, went out through kennels smoothly and once in the large run was mostly not interested in the two men and one woman in the run with us. Eventually she would go say hi, and allow pets. The potential adopter then held the leash and walked around the yard with her. She took treats from me and the other men gently. No major concerns aside from some pulling as people and dogs could be seen through the fence. It was a good meet overall. She went back in just as easily and allowed me to unleash without a problem. (2/10/20) New Adoptive Owner--active, affectionate, hyperactive, playful, good with women. The dog is overall fine with the children, but has snapped about 2 times at the owner's 14 year old daughter. She did not ever make contact or try to actually bite, just hard barks. (Ages 14, 16, and 17). She is also Crate Trained and was said to be good in her crate(1/5/20) Adoptive Owner-- active, affectionate, hyperactive, playful, good with women, the dog is overall fine with the children, but has snapped about 2 times at the owner's 14 year old daughter. She did not ever make contact or try to actually bite, just hard barks. Lived with children ages 14, 16, and 17. She is great with/in her crate, Concerning behavior issues: random aggression towards owner's husband and SOMETIMES strangers. These behaviors occur mostly when on leash. How frequently do these behaviors happen: 4 instances in the last 2 weeks. She seems to be afraid of many things. which causes her to bark and lunge. otherwise, she does like people.Leash reactive, aggressive when on leash, knows commands: sit, lay down, shake, look, stay(7/28/18) Owner Surrender- friendly. Better with older kids. Lived with 1 cat. Plays with cat. People selective. Crate trained.
