Blitz

This dapper dude is Blitz! Blitz is an approximately 1-year old male Treeing Walker Hound who weighs around 60 lbs. Blitz was purchased from a breeder by the former owner but when he showed no interest in hunting AND had a birth defect (left front paw), his owner abandoned him. But don’t worry, Blitz doesn’t let a little thing like that slow him down! We are having our orthopedic vet take a look at him just in case there is something he can do for him as Blitz does favor that foot when he gets tired. His appointment is May 9th, we will know more after that. UPDATE: The orthopedic vet determined that Blitz DOES NOT need surgery nor amputation of the leg. He will just monitor himself when it becomes tired. He is a very active, playful, and affectionate boy! He is great with other dogs and needs another active dog in the home or a very active family/individual who can give him lots of attention and exercise. He is not aggressive to cats, but he will bark at them, so probably no cats. Blitz LOVES kids and will seek them out. Blitz loves attention, cuddles, and would love to be able to sleep next to you. He can be vocal (that beautiful hound sound) at times. Blitz is a very happy and loving dog and would be a great addition to your family. Blitz is crate and house-trained, and working on leash training. He would do best with a harness for walking. Blitz is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225.
