06/21/09: BLACKJACK HAS BEEN ADOPTED! THANKS AND GOOD LUCK TO KELLY WHO GAVE HIM A GREAT NEW HOME!! 06/17/09: Blackjack has been neutered and is ready to go home! 6/11/09: BLACKJACK IS PENDING ADOPTION!Blackjack is an adorable poodle/shih tzu mix with a beautiful black coat. He should be a small, lap sized dog when full grown. He was born mid to late Feb of 2009 making him currently about 3-3 1/2 months old. His doggie mother rejected him so he was underweight and malnourished when he was rescued by a lady who fed him puppy milk and helped him thrive until he could eat on his own. Blackjack was also suffering from hairloss when he went to this lady and she believed that he had mange which she also treated him for. Blackjack's guardian angel had planned to keep him but unfortunately, her circumstances have changed and she has to re-home him. Blackjack is a lover and enjoys attention. He gets along well with children and other pets. He is energetic and curious as most pups are so he should be a quick learner. Because of the poodle mix, he should have a hypo- allergenic coat for those people who may have allergies. Blackjack is working on crate and house training but will need continued training with both of these things(he is, after all, still a baby). Blackjack will make a wonderful companion for any family and probably wouldn't mind if you are the traveling kind and he could take trips with you. He is a sweet, loving pup and some family will be very lucky to bring him home!
