My name is Blackie and I am a very special dog looking for a special home. I am a really good boy! I am really sweet,really smart, and really well-behaved. I am 4 years old now, and my life hasnt been that great so far, but HELP promised me that they will find me that right home no matter how long it takes. I don't like cats - in fact I HATE cats!! Sometimes I don't get along with other dogs, but I don't hurt them -just bark at them. I will protect you and entertain you and kiss you and watch TV with you.... I want a family of my own more then anything -- a fenced yard, good food, some cool bones to chew on, and a compfy bed in the house with people who love me. Won't you please, PLEASE give me a chance??
UPDATE -- Recently Blackie was in a trial home, but it didnt work out becuase he became very protective of his new home. We believe that he was overwhelmed with the job of Alpha Dog and didnt know how to handle strangers coming to his own house with his own kids etc. SO, We learned that Blackie needs to be in a home where the people are very ALPHA and dominant and can let Blackie know that he doesnt have to be in charge -- that his job is just simply enjoy being a family dog.
