My Story

BJ's story is heartbreaking! He was found on a busy highway trying not to get hit by a car. When the lady picked him up out of the road, she noticed that his tongue was hanging out and half of his lower jaw was missing-along with all of his teeth. This probably was a result of his owner feeding him canned food all of his life. The tarter build up probably decayed his teeth and started eating away at his lower jaw. Or possibly he was abused at some point in his life. He will wag his tail and want to be loved but will cower when you get near him. This is indicative of an abused dog. He can not bite nor has he ever attempted to but he seems frightened that he will get hurt. BJ needs a home where he is safe and loved and where he can live out the rest of his days in contentment. He wants to be a lap boy and with a person who can make him feel safe and secure he can be just that! BJ is NOT a pretty dog but he will touch your heart and make you want to take care of him. If you are interested in giving BJ a second chance, please fill out our adoption application. He is a special boy who is a survivor!BJ is on the waiting list to be neutered.
