My Story

Our friends at Puppa's Pals wanted us to tell you about Bingo, a handsome, mellow guy who lost his owner in a tragic accident. He’s looking for a new home where he can be himself, a fabulous companion who doesn’t ask for much. He is 46#, 5 yrs old, and a Dalmatian mix... maybe with hound or retriever? This guy has an overall laid-back approach to life. He enjoys hanging around the house with his people, going for strolls around the property or neighborhood, and maybe chewing on a bone once in a while. Dog parks, big excursions or breweries are not his jam; he just wants to be at home with his people. Don’t mistake his low-key lifestyle for a lack of personality, though! Bingo likes to have what his foster mom calls a “Bingo Party”… when he comes in from outside, he often dances and spins, tossing in play bows just to express his love of life. When told “Get ‘em,” he will turn on like a light switch to happily grab the nearest toy, nudging it and bouncing around in a silly little special dance only he understands. He’s hysterical! Bingo is a great fit for people that enjoys a quieter lifestyle: maybe a few friends visit from time to time, but normally it’s just the immediate family. He would be happiest as an only dog or could live with another middle-aged, well-mannered dog who will ignore him (and Bingo will return the favor). This is also his approach to cats – he pays them no mind. Ok with older, respectful kids (teens). He is a true gentleman, trustworthy loose in the house. A soft bed for napping and some toys make Bingo a happy boy. Bingo will lead a long and happy life after building more strength and stamina. Casual walks and playtime with his person/people to help in this regard. He’s a nice companion and provides entertainment to his humans, asking only for affection and a safe place to be loved in return. His foster mom says: “Bingo is an emotional intelligent fella who understands he is looking for a new family. He’s ready to love a new person who accepts him for who he is, giving him respect and patience to settle in a new life. He’s a great buddy to have around!” If hosting a “Bingo Party” sounds like your cup of tea, APPLY to adopt Bingo through our online adoption process hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt Bingo’s adoption will be handled through Puppa's Pals (https://www.puppaspals.org/) for $400 plus MN state tax. He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm negative.
