My Story

Bill and his brothers Sam and Neal, our 6 month old Pocket-Pitty trio, had a pretty rough start. They were nearly skeletal when found stray. If that wasn't bad enough, the puppies also had a terrible case of mange. We found some wonderful foster families willing to give them time to fatten up and heal. Thanks to them, and to the @1510 Foundation for covering their care in its entirety, now the trio are healthy and ready for the next phase. Starting with our Bill! Bill is only 16 pounds at 6 months old which means he's not likely to be larger than 30 pounds fully grown. He makes up for his smaller-than-average size by being a 10/10 puppy. Bill is nearly potty trained, good in his crate, and greets his people with tail wags and happy stretches after a good nap. Bill recently mastered "sit" and follows his foster family around happily offering that behavior. He does his best to help with household chores and is a really good wfh buddy - he mostly lays on his bed waiting for the next meeting to be over. When not supervising the productivity of his fosters, Bill loves toys and playing fetch. He is friendly cuddly, funny and is good with kids, cats and other dogs. Bill is still a baby so his adopter will need to continue to work on his training and socialization. Bill is a little nervous of new people and situations but is getting more brave by the day. He is still learning out-on-the-town skills like walking on a leash. But if his supreme "sit" skills are any indication, Bill is going to be a great student. The trio are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on their flea and heartworm preventatives. We have also dewormed them and they just had a negative fecal. Help us give Bill the puppyhood he deserves; one filled with plenty of snacks. Apply to adopt at www.stumptownstrays.org.
