He approached the handler and solicits interaction with a soft body and open mouth. He is not interested in toys. Takes treats with a soft mouth, knows sit and stay.(3/8) Per adoptive owner - protective, quiet, fights with other dogs, walks well on leash, aggressive - bites, snaps at animals, no interactions with young kids, used to be fine around the 16-year-old kid who worked with the owner. Then the other day he bit the kid on the arm. Only shown aggression to people one time. However he does not like it if people lean over top of him - he feels threatened. He is mostly dog aggressive but bit with no warning recently. Very smart dog, trains easily.(12/8) Vet Staff - Patient had to be muzzled by kennel attendant and low growling throughout time on exam room when started assessment even if not performing anything hands on.(11/30) Per finder- "so so", calm as far as finder could tell, barked at other dogs while on a walk, pulled when walking but gets tired* * * * *Bite Details* * * * *Have you noticed any unusual behavior prior to bite: no, dog was playing with the victimWhat were the events leading up to this bite incident: 16 year old was playing with the dog at the owner's shop. They were done playing, and 16 year old walked away. Big Ben came up to him as he wanted to keep playing. He leaned over top of Big Ben, and the dog suddenly bit onto his left arm, clamped down and did not let go. Did you think the animal might bite before the incident happened: no, he's never bit someone before and was really good with him before, so they didn't think he would biteDescribe another time this animal bitten or scratched: he previously bit another dog, as he is very dog aggressive, but he has never bitten a person other than this recent incident. Two past times, he reacted aggressively when people leaned over the dog's head - he seems very threatened by this. Neither of those incidents resulted in an actual bite.
