One of 3 lads rescued by Animal Control because of neglect, Big doesn't hold any grudges. Sweet, affectionate and true to his Italian ancestry, all style and panache. A bit on the thin side, Big weighs only 110 lbs, but should get to between 130 - 140 lbs. All love and wrinkles, this gentle giant is looking for a guardian who is familiar with the breed, would do well with a 4-legged female companion, a big lap to sit on and some one who likes exercise in moderation. While originally bred as a guard dog, the only thing Big wants to protect is your heart. A solid base of obedience and socialization is mandatory for the Neapolitan Mastiff and Big is a recent graduate of Doggie Land's training course and adoption includes 2 "new guardian" sessions.
