BETSEY / 14 yrs / Female / 10 lbs ; 5.5kg / Mixed Breed / Fostered in Toronto Good with other dogs, cats and kids / House trained Medical: Betsey has a grade 3 left side systolic heart murmur, and pea size lumps detected on two mammary glands. She recently had dental surgery to remove most of her teeth. Even in her golden years she still has a wonderful zest for life and will keep you smiling all day long! She will easily charm her way into your heart! Betsey loves to strut her stuff on walks and soak up the sunshine. Busier areas don’t faze her one bit and will say hello to all the people and dogs she meets along the way - a true social butterfly! Two or three short walks per day followed by some snoozing and snuggles it her ideal day. Betsey loves to people watch through the window and is the head of the welcoming committee at home and greets each new friend with happy spins and wiggles, howling with delight. With some patience and practice being alone, Betsey is now happy to lounge around at home while you’re away (even for a full work day), snoozing or chewing on some soft treats, and will be the first one to say hello to you as you walk through the door. Betsey recently took a trip to the doggy dentist to remove some teeth and is really enjoying all of the soft treats she gets now! She currently lives with other dogs and has spent time with cats, and she gets along well with them, but her humans are her #1s. Betsey likes attention (and any dropped food) from kids, especially ones who get that she doesn’t have oodles of energy to play. Apartment or house, as long as there’s lots of love and snuggles to go around Betsey will be a happy pup. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but Betsey has proven that wrong with her spunky personality and ability to adapt to new situations.
