Found as a stray, she was fighting for her life while caring for her sick puppies. When County contacted us about a very ill mama dog and her litter of newborn puppies who had been struggling in the shelter for 30 days, we couldn't say no. Despite her illness affecting her ability to breathe, Bessie's tail never stopped wagging. Her sweet face stole our hearts, and we immediately welcomed this precious family to the sanctuary.
