My Story

$60 Adoption Fee includes vaccinations, worming, exam, temperament test, microchip and ID tag! You can apply for me online! Carefully read over our Adoption Process first.

My Story: Hi, my name is Bertie. I'm a very special girl looking for somebody to love. I came to the Shelter as a stray, and I've not been claimed by my previous owner. That means I'm now available to be adopted to my new forever family! I'm a Yellow Lab mix. I'm an older girl, about 9 years old. I have a very pretty short-haired cream-colored coat. I have an absolutely marvelous personality. Because I'm older, I'm a very mellow girl. All I want is a little attention, love, and a soft dog bed to sleep on. Sounds like heaven to me!!

I have not yet been spayed here at the Shelter, because I am a special case. I have several mammary tumors that will need to be removed surgically at the time of my spay surgery. They don't affect my health at all, but it would be best if they were removed.

I know that I'm going to be much harder to place because I'm older. But I just know there has to be somebody special out there who's willing to share their heart and love for a few years. If you think we could be a good match, please submit your application to adopt me right here online.

Your Sponsorship Donation Will Make A Difference!

We are a wonderful No-Kill animal shelter run solely on donations and by volunteers. We specialize in the "under pet" who needs life-saving surgery, amputation after a traumatic accident, providing long-term treatment, helping in the care of blind, diabetic, geriatric pets and offering emotional therapy to abused pets. Your sponsorship donation will help this pet tremendously, as well as hundreds of others each year! Since we are a private, non-profit charity, pets stay in our loving, fun atmosphere until they find not only "a home", but a great home! Whether a pet is 14 years old or special needs, there is a wonderful family somewhere in the USA waiting to open their heart and home! If you like what you see, or this pet has touched your heart, please consider making a secure donation (tax-deductible) online with your credit card (or by mail). By donating, you'll become part of a powerful, life-changing, no-kill facility looking out for the wonderful pets as they continue their journey to a loving, happy new life!
