We are thrilled to say that Bernie is adopted! What a Christmas gift! Bernie was here less than a week and the perfect adopter wants to adopt him!

Meet Bernie! His owners dumped him in a shelter- the reason? TOO OLD! Poor Bernie is 14 years old and his irresponsible owner dumped him and also did not bother neutering him! The shelter contacted Almost Home; we just know there is someone out there with a big heart who loves the senior dogs and will want to adopt this great dog.

Bernie sure doesn't act 14! He is still spunky and playful. He is a friendly, happy boy and gets along with other dogs. Bernie would be happy with a quiet home, soft bed and a daily walk! We are only asking for a small donation for Bernie; we are more concerned with him finding the perfect retirement home! No small children please.

Bernie is neutered, utd shots, kennel cough vaccinated, heartworm tested. We require an adoption application, references, adoption contract and home visit. We only adopt to families in SD, MN, NE, ND, IA.

Almost Home is run from foster homes. We have no facility for the public to come in and view pets.

We do not ship our dogs.
