Message about WHITNEY & BENNY
BENNY & WHITNEY are 10 year old, Beagles probably littermates because of their close resemblance.
Last Hope took both from Town of Hempstead Shelter where they were surrendered by a family member who lives out-of-state because an elderly relative & the dogs' owner could no longer care for them & entered a nursing home.
[Please no judgmental comments. No one knows the complete story.]
Both are sweet & voice their opinions in the trademark Beagle bay way
Our volunteers are walking these Beagles together, and observing their interactions for 2 weeks now.
Our original placement plan has CHANGED. WHITNEY is uneasy around BENNY because he " bugs" her.
We want to adopt them into separate homes where each senior dog will relax & soak up the affection of her/his new family.
We have this goal because WHITNEY is more Garbo & BENNY thinks he is the Boss.
