The original pronunciation of Shih Tzu is “sure-ds” which directly translated from Chinese Mandarin means “lion”. So meet our little lion Benji!
Benji came to us via the pound in Westport where he was picked up as a stray. He was in very poor condition when he arrived, but our vet was up for the challenge - and now Benji is ready for a new take on life. He will need an experienced and patient home that can help him work through his traumatic past and his “napoleon complex” – he does not like to be told what to do. Benji should be in a home without small children. We will continue to work with him on his issue and we will be testing him with cats and other dogs as well.
