My Story

UPDATE: BENJI HAS FOUND A WONDERFUL FAMILY HE ALSO HAS TWO NEW DOGGIE SIBLINGS______The following is a letter Benji's new mom sent to update us on his progess:- Hi, I adopted Benji a couple of months ago. I just have to tell you, that he is the most wonderful dog. My son had lost his dog in our house fire and Benji, he has told me is now his favorite dog. He doesn’t replace Tucker, but we couldn’t have special ordered a dog more fit for our family. He’s funny and loving and has brought much laughter into our house and helped 4 broken hearts to heal. Thank you for your organization. Your organization is so wonderful and I can’t imagine how many hearts you’ve healed (animal and human). Thanks again for letting us adopt Benji. We love him and wouldn’t give him up for anything in the world. Thanks for helping heal my little boy’s heart. I think Benji feels the same about us. --------------------------------------------------I'm Benji, a male Terrier mix born approximately March 2004. I am up to date on shots, neutered and completed heartworm treatment 2/07. My weight is approximately 30 lbs. So now I'm as fit as a fiddle and ready to go. I hear that I had a movie made about me. With all that publicity, you'd think I'd be living large. Instead, I was found by my foster mom near her home where someone had decided to dump me. Thank goodness I'm rid of those mean people. Now I can start over with a new family that understands what it is to give and receive love. Those people just didn't know what they were missing. I get along very well with dogs and people and am a pretty low-maintenance kind of guy. I am potty trained and when feeling enthusiastic, like to dance. This is usually when my humans come home, dinner time and playtime. I really like my foster home because there are so many other four-leggers to play with, but I'd really like some one-on-one time with a family that I didn't have to share with a small army.
