Benjamin is a 2 yr old Bichon/poodle mix weighing about 10 lbs. This precious boy is looking for a new forever home. He gets along great with other dogs and loves kids, too. He has a sweet disposition and would be a great addition for some lucky family. Benjamin is neutered, has all shots, worming, etc. We require a fenced yard if there are kids under the age of 12 in the home.

Adopting a dog that has been moved from a home to a shelter and then to a rescue is not for everyone. It takes time and patience to make that dog feel at home in his new environment. It takes at least 1 week and usually up to a month for a dog to acclimate to your schedule and home. An animal shelter is the most stressful place for a dog to be, with other dogs barking and not knowing what is happening around them. Some dogs come to their new home scared and timid. They will sometimes take several days before they start eating and have anything to do with the new adopters.

It's not easy rescuing a dog. It takes patience and time and LOVE. These dogs need love and understanding, not another rejection.
