Tall and handsome with a stunning fox-red coat, 3 year old Ben is quite a character. His foster mom wrote us right away to say, "Now Ben . . . he’s cracking me up. He’s got a lot of energy and I’m not sure how much training yet. I’m trying to type to you and he’s trying to climb on my lap as I sit at my desk. Needless to say, no work got done this afternoon! He did great meeting my dog. They played for a bit and explored in the yard. I’ll work with him on some manners. But what a kick! He’s got an incredibly big smile on his face and seems like a big old jolly guy! He’s definitely on the thin side so we’ll be fattening him up! I’ll keep you posted and send you some more tidbits once we get to know him a little better."
Another volunteer who met Ben, aka Mr. Personality, shared yet another story: "Ben has a very cute trick. He'll 'sit pretty' then put both his paws on your hand holding the treat, but doesn't take it. It's really charming!"
Ben was left behind in a yard with another dog when his owners moved away; a Good Samaritan got this terrific boy to us. We promised Ben we'd find him the perfect forever home where he'd be loved and never left behind again. He's hoping that perfect home might just be with you!
