Belle

Not too many young girls like me wander along Interstate 19 with all those trucks and cars whizzing past and live to tell about it! Fortunately a wonderful lady saw my plight, scooped me up, took me home, and when she found out that they had room here at TALGV, brought me in the next day. I am an adorable, soft and fluffy, ball of fur who appears to have a lot of Newfoundland in her genes (check out my paws!). I have a white lower lip that looks like the reverse of the “got milk?” advertisements, and a bit of white on my tummy, but other than that, I’m an all-black beauty. I weigh 29 pounds now at about 4 months, so although it’s unlikely that I’m going to be “Newfie”-size when I’m grown, I probably won’t be a bit much of a lap sitter either! But I love people (big and small, young and old), and get along fine with all the other dogs here, so I know that I’ll fit in perfectly with an active family that has time to spend making me one of the best parts of their lives.
