My Story

Bella is a beautiful female 15 month old Sheltie who was surrendered to the shelter by her owners, who said she barked all day long and was not house trained. She wore a bark collar and was not allowed into their home. She was selected for the Pups on Parole program at the California Correctional Center and went into a foster home to await the next opening. While in foster care she barked very little and had no accidents in the house. She loved the three dogs who lived with her and was happy playing most of the day. She is now in POP (arrived June 15th) and is being trained in basic obedience by her inmate fire fighter trainer. She wants to please and is a very smart, quick learner. Her prior owner said she absolutely loves children. Bella is slightly larger then the average Shetland Sheepdog, she is taller and weighs 25 pounds, but she is still a small dog.. She is attractive, intelligent and active. A very special girl who will go to a special family. She needs a family who will welcome her in the home and will be committed to the daily grooming of her beautiful coat . Bella is current on vaccinations, micro chipped, heart worm negative, and will be spayed prior to adoption. If your interested in Bella, please e-mail or phone the Lassen Humane Society at the contact information listed below.
