He is a loyal and protective type but first he needs to trust his household. Take your time with him while he develops that trust. He might do better in an adult household that respects and understands his nature. Once he trusts, he will be all in with love and loyalty. Better if there are some treats and toys along the way for him. He may step onto a sofa or bed to get closer to his family. We hope you don't mind.
