Bewildered Beau is a purebred adorable 18 - 20 months old male that has been rescued from a bad home where the husband abused him (yelling, kicking, etc.) and now being divorced, the wife can't take care of him. Besides the fact that she allowed this dog to be treated so horribly we now are faced with finding this sweet dog a patient understanding Bassett Hound loving home where we can unravel his fears and his lack of confidence and somehow learn to trust a human voice and hand. He needs to know what love really is like …not screaming loud voices or the hard kick of a shoe on his back. The former female owner would encourage him to get up in her lap and then push him off because his paws are dirty. He was a bundle of nerves around her but when she was gone..he was pure joy!!! We convinced her to let Us have him…..He is a handsome Tri-color bassett that is neutered and fully vetted. He needs to be in a home with a family who will adore him, allow him on the couch with them, and shower him with love. He will need a family who is patient with him as he adjusts. Because of his situation, he is jittery until he gets to know you. He is fully housebroken and well behaved. He knows a few basic commands. Pretty good for a basset......He weighs about 50 pounds and is just adorable.
