Beau-adopted

HI ! My name is Beau! Don’t you think I'm the cutest girl in the world...ever !?! I'm about 5 months old, probably a lab / husky mix with the softest fur and big brown eyes – but wait...did you see that one of my eyes is HALF BLUE !! How cool is that ?! I just arrived here at my foster home from the north where some kind people rescued me from the streets. So I'm learning how to be a puppy ... the other dogs I live with are teaching me about toys, chase and tug – what GREAT fun! I play very nicely with all sizes of people and dogs and my momma says i am *submissive* which means I don't try to be the boss ever. I am really calm for a puppy and already know how to sit, shake a paw and give kisses ! My foster Momma thinks I would fit in with other dogs, cats and children in my new home very easily. In the house enjoy chewing on raw hides or a toy. At night I sleep in my big plastic kennel and I'm so good! I eat my supper in there too so I know it’s a really cool place to hang out. My foster house has lots of cats and two kittens which I mostly ignore, but sometimes they play with my tail and I give them a play bow then run away ! I can ride in the Van – we have been to the pet store and the park and I'm learning to walk on a leash and wear a collar so that when you take me home I know what to do ! And I LOVE to say hi to everyone we meet on our trips. The best thing about meeting new people is they rub my chest and that feels good ! I would let you do that all day too if you wanted to !

I'm housetrained and so far have not made a mess in the house – my foster momma wishes all puppies learned as fast as I do ! But she says I might take a while to get used to my new home so there may be a few accidents while I adjust. I would love to meet you and show you how cute I can be ! My foster mom says the 1st people who meet me are going to want to take me home. Come visit me soon!

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
