One-and-a-half year old Beau quickly captures the heart of everyone he meets! Bet that’s because he’s a “Glab” – a combination of the two most lovable breeds around, a Lab and a Golden Retriever.
“To say we've fallen in love with this lovable clown would be an understatement!” relates his foster mom. “He’s a pretty neat guy. Everything about him is cute: his face, his personality and everything he does. He's a quick study, very responsive to verbal cues and his name. He's honed his manners quite well since he's been with us.”
Beau is housetrained, learning commands, rides well in the car and walks nicely on the Halti. He quietly sleeps in the bedroom all night and rests in his crate when his foster parents leave to keep him out of typical puppy mischief. He and his foster sister get along well; Beau, however, is not fond of being pounced on.
His foster parents tell us: “Beau loves walks, sticks around in front of our house and is quite the couch potato. You know he's relaxed while we're watching TV when he's upside down and zonked with his head under a pillow. He just goes with the flow. While he likes to be with us, he’s secure enough to be outside sunning on the deck if that's what he wants to do.
When Beau came to us he was in severe pain from bone chips in his elbows. Safe Harbor has paid for surgery, physical therapy and follow-up evaluation at CSU to address his condition. If he overdoes things, a common medication alleviates any soreness. Beau is a typical happy, goofy, active Lab who will flourish with a moderately active family attuned to his needs.
Irresistibility charming young Beau can’t wait for that special date with you where he’ll be going home forever!
