Bear Cat was spoken for but then declined because on arrival in New England we discovered that he is probably 5 years old or so instead of 2 year old as we had thought. He is a sweet sweet dog though and is still a wonderful pet for someone not wanting a younger more energetic dog. Bear Cat would do well with a mellow lifestyle and being allowed to live on one floor as he seems unfamiliar with or not wanting to go up and down many stairs. He did do stairs in the south to get to his doggie door but seems reluctant inside a house. This is likely remediable.
Bear Cat is a sweet sweet fella who is likely 5 years old and weighs 80 lbs. He was an owner surrender in the south from a family that just had no time for him. He has been completaly vetted including HW treated and is in great health. He is super with kids other dogs and even likes cats! Here is what his foster has to say: Bear Cat is a gentle soul- he loves to play with other dogs and be with people. His previous owners int he south didn't give him any attention so he appreciates any that he gets.

We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.
Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
