Bear

Hi, My name is Bear and I am a 4 year old Lab Mix.  If you are looking for a loving friend, who is laid back and won't run you ragged, I'm the guy!   I was found wandering near the Winslow power plant in December of 09.  This very nice family adopted me from the Animal League of Green Valley but unfortunately found that  I am great for my mom's heart, but not the best thing for her asthma!   Since ALGV is a no-kill shelter they don't always have room to take in another dog and this is now the case so i am staying with my family until I find a new forever home.  I am a very tolerant, sweet dog.  I am house trained to use a dog door or 'asking' even if I'm indoors for a very long time!   I enjoy outdoors, but prefer to lay on my pillow inside!   I love to go for  walks and stay right by your side.  I will sit patiently and put my nose up for the halter collar or regular collar either one.  I will respond to voice or hand commands to sit, stay, lay down and shake.   I am good with other dogs, but cats are fun to chase!  I am good with children and will follow them up steps and down slides in the play ground. I bark to alert you of people outside, but not excessively. I eat Science Diet dog food (35lb bag at 40 bucks will feed me a month) to keep my figure trim.  I am current on all my vaccinations.
