Bear has found his forever home with Joe and Natasha in Pembroke, MA
This GENTLE GIANT is Bear! We think he has some Fila in his mix, which is a type of mastiff/bloodhound. Bear is 120 lbs of LOVE at 1 1/2 yrs of age. He was surrendered by his owners along with his brother Butkus (also posted on our site) because they got too big for their household and for their 5 yr old son. His foster mom says this " He's a big LOVABLE dog with a moderate activity level and listens quite well. He is well socialized, but likes to observe people first and then warms up quickly. He likes to be petted, explore the back yard and play with his brother." Bear does well with most dogs, has not been tested with cats and is crate trained. His ideal home would be a large one with a large yard and someone wanting a large dog willing to give him ample exercise. If Bear is right for you please apply for him today. His adoption fee is $375.
Please complete an
online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.
Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
