My Story

Meet Bear! This husky mix adolescent came to the Shelter as an owner surrender after his previous guardian could no longer continue to car for him. Bear previously lived with another dog in his home and enjoyed the company. He has met dogs at the Shelter since arriving and has enjoyed playing. A home with another dog is likely a fit provided they meet at the Shelter prior to adoption. His previous guardian reports that walking was Bears favorite activity. He also likes to ride in the car and knows sit, down, and paw. Bear would thrive in an active home with an adopter that will keep working on his smarts through positive reinforcement based training. Staff have observed that Bear has been social and easy going since arrival. We do not have any experience of Bear living with cats or small animals. A home with kids is likely a fit provided kids are sturdy and guardians are overseeing interactions, especially in the transition.
