Baxter
is as cute as they come, but he's no ordinary piece of fluff -
this is a smart, energetic little dog who will make a delightful
companion to the right person. He's about five years old and has some
basic obedience training, and he would thrive with a person who wants
to train him and teach him tricks.
For the first two years of his life, Baxter lived on a chain in a back
yard. For the past three years, he has spent most of his time in a
crate while his owner worked long hours. Under the circumstances, this
little dog's capacity for fun, fellowship and learning is
extraordinary. Baxter is an adventurous soul, and will take off to go
exploring if he has a chance. He needs a home with a secure fenced yard
where he can burn off energy, and he needs an adopter who will enjoy a
companion for an active lifestyle. At the end of a busy day, however,
Baxter will be very happy just to chill with you and take life easy.
He gets on well with humans, dogs and cats, but would probably do
better in a home without small children.
At present he is in a foster
home in the TriCities, but we will work with an approved adopter to
arrange transport to anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. His adoption
fee is $225.
