Baxter is a male Giant Schnauzer mix estimated at 1 year of age. Baxter came to the shelter after he was brought in by a family as a "stray" who seemed to know quite a bit about him after only having him for a short period of time. Baxter, the name given to him by the family, even answers to the name they had just recently given him. Baxter has the black soft terrier coat common to the Schnauzer breed. He has a wonderful temperament and personality and is a real love bug! He weighs around 35-40 lbs and has a cropped tail. His coat is in good condition...not like a dog that has been on the run. Baxter loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He is calm enough for old and young alike!
