My Story

Hello my name is Basset! But my foster mama calls me Radar! She calls me Radar because of my EARS!!! Radar is an Ibizan Hound mix who about 6 months old and he currently weighs 36 pounds (as of 5/22/08). Radar is almost all white except for a couple of spots, and those spots are actually brindled! Radar is working very hard on both crate training and house training. Radar's biggest problem here is that he LOVES to play and sometimes forgets to potty outside. Just a little time, patience and reminders is all he needs.

Radar is a very smart little boy who already knows come, sit, down and we are working on stay. Radar loves to go for walks, but needs to be reminded to walk nice - you know there is just so much to see out there and he wants to see it all!! Radar will sit for both his food and his treats (which he takes very nicely) when he comes inside. Radar loves all the other dogs in his foster home. Radar knows how to play fetch and will bring his toy or ball back to you time and time again. Radar would make a great running partner as he is action packed, but he is not hyper. Radar, although he is full of energy, is very gentle and he would love an active family with kids and/or another dog.

His adoption fee is $275.00.

Adoption fees for all dogs/puppies include the spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, frontline/biospot, and all age appropriate vaccinations. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. At this time it is necessary to send a request for an application. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including contact with your veterinarian and complete a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application. We are a group of volunteers who all work other jobs, so please be patient and allow a few days for our response.
