Barnaby

Barnaby is an 10 year-old male basset from Jackson County. He was taken from his home due to severe neglect. He and 4 other dogs were confined to a small yard with a wooden fence that no one could see in or out of. One dog was put to sleep because his condition was so bad. Barnaby is a wonderful, loving dog, and he is a very healthy and active 10-year-old. He deserves to be treasured after spending 10 years in confinement. He is terrified of men but loves all over every woman that walks in the door. He is so loving that he even follows his foster mom into the bathroom and waits outside the shower for her. He has learned to enjoy being both indoors and outdoors, and he enjoys the rain - sits on the porch and get rained on - it's pretty funny. Barnaby likes to be in the middle of all the attention and sits sweetly next to house guests making everyone feel so special. Barnaby sleeps in the bed once in awhile but only if invited. He also enjoys sitting on the couch with you, but again, only if invited. He is ready for a loving home, but there just cannot be any men there.
