If you are looking for a gentle giant with soft, brown eyes and a sweet disposition, I may be the companion for you. My name is Barnabus, and I'm a shepherd mix of some sort. I have the most goregous thick coat of fur--very luxurious and perfect for snuggling. I was sitting in a shelter for a while, and I was often overlooked because not everyone wants a large dog. However, I was finally rescued and am doing wonderfully in my foster home with several other dogs. I am still a little shy, and my foster family is teaching me that it's OK to be myself and to be happy. My tail wags more and more every day. I am crate trained and potty trained, but don't forget to take me out with frequency. I enjoy treats, but I never beg. I am interested in what my foster family does, so sometimes I follow them from room to room. However, I'm not needy and don't cling all the time. I am also satisfied to sit on a big dog bed in the living room and rest. I am feeling more and more relaxed as time goes by because I'm in a place where I'm loved. However, I'm looking for a family of my own, so if you think we may be a match, let's meet.
My adoption fee is $300
Adoption fees for all dogs/puppies include the spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, frontline/biospot, and all age appropriate vaccinations. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. At this time it is necessary to send a request for an application. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including contact with your veterinarian and complete a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application. We are a group of volunteers who all work other jobs, so please be patient and allow a few days for our response.
